The Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) 2027 answer key allows candidates to review their responses to Part A of the examination. The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) publishes a draft answer key and candidates' Part A responses on the official CEED website.

Candidates can compare their recorded responses with the draft key and submit comments on potential discrepancies through the official candidate portal within the prescribed window. After reviewing the comments, the examination authority publishes the final answer key for Part A.

Is the CEED 2027 Answer Key Released?

As of 11 October 2026, the CEED 2027 examination has not yet been conducted. The draft answer key and candidate response sheet are therefore not available for the 2027 examination.

The draft answer key and Part A responses are scheduled for release on 19 January 2027. The final answer key is scheduled for 26 January 2027 at 5:00 PM.

Candidates should use the official CEED website to access the published documents rather than treating unofficial coaching-centre solutions as the final answer key.

After IIT Bombay publishes the draft answer key, candidates can follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official CEED 2027 website.

  2. Open the answer-key or downloads section.

  3. Download the published Part A draft answer key and master question paper.

  4. Log in to the candidate portal to access the Part A response sheet.

CEED 2027 Draft Answer Key and Response Sheet

The draft answer key and Part A responses are scheduled for publication on 19 January 2027.

The draft answer key provides the answers proposed by the examination authority, while the response sheet records the candidate's submitted answers. Comparing the two can help candidates review their performance before the final key is released.

Candidates should download their Part A response sheet before the result is declared. According to the official brochure, access to these responses will be disabled after the result declaration, and subsequent requests will not be entertained.

How to Challenge the CEED 2027 Answer Key

CEED 2027 Final Answer Key

The final answer key for Part A is scheduled for publication on 26 January 2027 at 5:00 PM.

The final key follows the review of comments submitted on the draft answer key. Candidates should use the final version when checking their Part A responses and estimating their performance.

The final answer key is not the final CEED result. The overall score and qualification status are determined through the official evaluation process, which also includes the subjective assessment of Part B for candidates shortlisted through Part A.

Is There an Answer Key for CEED Part B?

The official answer-key schedule covers Part A. Part B consists of five subjective questions assessing design, drawing and writing skills, including creativity, form sensitivity, visual sensitivity and problem identification.

Part B does not have conventional model answers. Its answer books are evaluated holistically according to the criteria specified in the questions, so candidates should not expect a standard objective answer key for this part.

How to Calculate Your Expected CEED Score

Candidates can use the final Part A answer key and their saved response sheet to review Part A performance. The official marking scheme includes different rules for Numerical Answer Type (NAT), Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and Multiple Select Questions (MSQ).

However, the Part A score alone does not determine the final CEED score. Only candidates shortlisted through the Part A cut-off have their Part B answer books evaluated.

The final score is calculated using the official formula:

Final Score = 0.25 × Part A Marks + 0.75 × Part B Marks

A self-calculated score is only an estimate and should not be treated as the final result or a guarantee of admission.

CEED 2027 Scorecard: What Does It Contain?

The scorecard provides the marks and qualification details made available under the official CEED result process.

According to the information brochure:

  • Part A marks are displayed for all candidates who successfully appear for the examination.

  • Part B marks are displayed only for candidates shortlisted for Part B evaluation.

  • All shortlisted candidates receive a rank.

  • The final score is calculated using the official weighting formula.

Candidates should preserve their scorecard for admission applications. The scorecard cannot be used as proof of date of birth, category or disability status; separate supporting documents are required where applicable.

CEED 2027 Marks and Final Score Calculation

The final CEED score is calculated using Part A and Part B marks as follows:

Final Score = 0.25 × Part A Marks + 0.75 × Part B Marks

Part A is used to shortlist candidates for Part B evaluation. Only candidates who meet the applicable Part A cut-off have their Part B answer books evaluated.

Part B is assessed subjectively according to the criteria specified in the questions. There is no model solution for these questions.

The final CEED score reflects the prescribed weighting of both parts and is used according to the eligibility and selection requirements of participating institutions.

CEED 2027 Rank List and Qualification Status

Candidates who are shortlisted for Part B evaluation receive a rank according to the official evaluation rules.

Qualification status and rank should be distinguished from admission eligibility. A candidate may qualify CEED but still need to meet the specific academic requirements of the M.Des. or Ph.D. programme they wish to pursue.

Rank, category, academic qualifications, institute-specific eligibility and additional selection criteria can all affect admission decisions.

CEED 2027 Scorecard Validity

The CEED 2027 scorecard is valid for one year from the date of result declaration, according to the official brochure.

Candidates should note that the scorecard is available for download only until 31 July 2027. After this deadline, it will no longer be available for download from the candidate portal.

The digital copy of the scorecard will be maintained by the CEED office for five years from the date of issue, as specified in the official brochure.

Candidates should download and save their scorecards during the permitted period.

Can Candidates Request Re-evaluation of CEED Results?

The official CEED 2027 rules do not provide for re-evaluation or re-totalling of Part A or Part B. Requests for re-evaluation will not be entertained.

Part B answer books are evaluated holistically using the criteria mentioned in the questions, and evaluated Part B booklets are not shared with candidates. Answer booklets are preserved for only three months from the date of result declaration.

Candidates should review the official evaluation rules before raising any score-related query.

What Happens After the CEED 2027 Result?

After receiving their scorecards, candidates should identify M.Des. or Ph.D. programmes that accept CEED scores and check the admission requirements of each institution.

The next steps may include:

  • Completing a separate application to the chosen institution.

  • Meeting programme-specific academic eligibility requirements.

  • Submitting academic records, certificates and other documents.

  • Appearing for interviews, portfolio assessments, additional tests or other selection rounds where required.

  • Completing the institution's admission formalities if selected.

CEED qualification does not guarantee admission. Each institution determines its selection process, programme eligibility and admission schedule.
