How to Use Books Effectively

  1. Read each NCERT chapter and solve all in-text and exercise questions.

  2. Make short notes of formulae, dates and definitions.

  3. Practise MCQs only after the chapter is clear.

  4. Take full-length timed tests every week.

Pro Tip: Fewer books, revised more often, beat many books read once. Finish NCERT thoroughly before adding anything else.

  • Questions match the Class IX–X level.

  • Concept clarity plus timed MCQ practice is the winning approach.

NTSE Mathematics Preparation

Mathematics questions in NTSE tested clear understanding of Class IX–X concepts. A structured plan built on NCERT textbooks, followed by regular MCQ practice, works best.

High-value Areas

  • Trigonometry and coordinate geometry

  • Statistics and probability

Step-by-step Preparation Plan

  1. Finish NCERT Class IX and X chapters, solving every exercise.

  2. Write a formula sheet and revise it daily.

  3. Solve 15–20 MCQs a day, mixing chapters.

  4. Practise mental calculation to save time.

  5. Take the Maths section of a full SAT paper every week.
