Marking Scheme

✅ Correct answer
You get 1 mark for every correct answer.
⭕ Wrong or unanswered
You get zero. There is no negative marking, so attempt every question.

Time Management

You have 3 hours (180 minutes) for 160 questions. That is about 67 seconds per question on average. Plan your time like this:

  • Do easy and direct questions first, and mark the difficult ones for review.
  • Keep a quick pace in Mathematics, because it has 80 questions.
  • Keep the last 10 to 15 minutes to revisit marked questions.
  • Since there is no negative marking, do not leave any question blank.

How Your Rank Is Made

Rank weightage
AP EAPCET score 75%
Intermediate (Class 12) marks 25%
Category Minimum Qualifying Marks in AP EAPCET
General 40 out of 160 (25%)
SC / ST No minimum

Because the Engineering exam is held in several sessions over different days, scores of different sessions are normalised before the rank is made.

Agriculture & Pharmacy Stream

Students of the Agriculture & Pharmacy stream write the paper in the BiPC subjects – Botany, Zoology, Physics and Chemistry. The exam is also an online CBT. Read the dedicated page: Agriculture & Pharmacy Pattern.

About the Online (CBT) Exam

  • You answer on a computer at the exam centre.
  • The official website gives a mock test so you can see how the screen looks.
  • Carry your hall ticket and a valid photo ID on exam day.
  • Reach the centre early and follow the exam day instructions.
