SLAT 2027

The Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) 2027 is a national-level entrance examination conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed University) for admission to five-year integrated undergraduate law programmes offered by Symbiosis Law Schools.

SLAT provides a common entrance route for eligible candidates seeking admission to law programmes at Symbiosis Law School, Pune; Symbiosis Law School, Noida; Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad; and Symbiosis Law School, Nagpur. Depending on the institute, programmes include B.A. LL.B., B.B.A. LL.B. and B.Com. LL.B. (Honours).

For the 2027–28 academic session, SLAT will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT). The examination is scheduled for 19 December 2026 and 26 December 2026, giving candidates the option to appear on both dates. If a candidate takes both tests, the higher score is considered for the final percentile calculation, with no normalization.

SLAT 2027 Eligibility

For the five-year law programmes at SLS Pune, candidates should have passed the Class 12 examination or equivalent examination from a recognized board with at least 45% marks. The minimum requirement is 40% for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.

Candidates who are appearing for their Class 12 final examination and awaiting results can also apply, subject to meeting the university's requirements at the time of final admission.

SLAT 2027 Exam Pattern

SLAT 2027 consists of 60 questions carrying 60 marks. The test duration is 60 minutes.

There is no negative marking for incorrect answers, and all sections are mandatory.

How Does the SLAT Admission Process Work?

SLAT is the entrance test component of the Symbiosis law admission process. Candidates first register for SLAT and select the Symbiosis Law School programme or programmes they wish to apply for.

After the SLAT result is announced, the respective Symbiosis Law School conducts its subsequent selection process for shortlisted candidates. The exact schedule and process can differ between institutes.

For example, SLS Pune uses a selection process consisting of the SLAT score and an online Personal Interaction (PI). For SLS Pune, the final merit list is based on 70% weightage to SLAT and 30% to PI.

Therefore, qualifying or appearing for SLAT should not be treated as the complete admission process. Candidates must also follow the admission procedure of the particular Symbiosis Law School to which they have applied.
